Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week's topic is:
Seven Book Related Problems I Have
1. I request too much books on Netgalley.
2. I am a certified book addict/bibliophile/book whore already.
3. I now have Insomnia because of books.
4. I get too emotional when reading.
5. I mentally edit the book end look at different possibilities.
6. If it ends good, I want it to end bad. If it ends bad, I want it to end good.
7. I spend more time with books than with people.
Great list! I can relate to the NetGalley one. I think I have about 12 ARC's that I haven't read yet. I have somehow managed not to request any new ones in the last two weeks, but I still had a couple of requests come in that I had asked for months ago. Ahhh, it never stops!
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to so many of these! I spend more time with books than people as well! My TTT
ReplyDeleteI totally spend more time with books than with people. It drives my family crazy because I always have to bring at least one book with me everywhere.
ReplyDeleteAmanda
I love your list! I have a lot of these problems too, and I really suffer from the spending more time reading than socializing. I do not think that there is anything wrong with that, but my family has a different opinion.
ReplyDeleteGreat list!
Tessa @ Crazy for YA
I spend more time with books than people also. They don't argue back or smell bad!
ReplyDeleteI request/take everything on NetGalley and Edelweiss. If they offer or give it to me, it's mine! We're all book addicts, at least you're in good company. Sleep is for the weak and so is emotional self control. Great list!

Great list! I definitely tend to spend more time with books then with people. I don't mind though, it makes me happy! Reading definitely messes with my sleeping sometimes, but I just can't put a book down if it's so good! Great list! :)

I can relate to many of your book related problems!! Here's a link to my TTT for the week: http://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2015/02/top-ten-tuesday-ten-book-related.html
ReplyDeleteYep, yep, I can relate! I never thought I'd request too many books on NetGalley but here I am, three years later, struggling to keep up!
ReplyDeleteI also spend a lot more time with books rather than with people, I wish I can fix that XD Great list ! :)
ReplyDeleteI can relate to all of these issues! Thanks so much for stopping by today.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I definitely relate to the spending more times with books than with people one. I also have deep insomnia, but maybe that's not just because of books. Thanks for stopping by my blog. ;)
ReplyDeleteAwesome list!!! #7 is me as well :P
ReplyDelete#7 - that's me, but I'm working on it. :-)
ReplyDeleteI saw #1 becoming a problem for me, so I've had to apply some discipline. But I'm not doing so well with the library's electronic books. I tend to get too many of them at one time.
ReplyDeleteYES. I totally agree, especially on #1.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree! On all of them. Books have become my new best friend since moving to a rural town where I know nobody. :)
ReplyDeleteInteresting that you think up other endings for your books! How creative!
ReplyDeleteI spend more time with books than people too but books are better lol
ReplyDeleteTeresa @ Readers Live A Thousand Lives
Fun list, Christine! It's fun to sometimes "rewrite" your own endings or make changes to books sometimes. :)
ReplyDeleteAhhh, love to see Sheldon! I know what you mean about those endings - I say I want happy ever afters and then I get one and I think it should be different!
ReplyDeleteI am so emotional when I am reading too. I was so dark and moody yesterday after listening to Sharp Objects. It is just so easy for me to feel the characters emotions
ReplyDeleteMissie @ A Flurry of Ponderings
Playing devil's advocate to flip the ending to good/bad sounds like a worthy consideration; and especially fun to inspire thought as to the what-ifs!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Joey via. thoughts and afterthoughts.
#1- Yes Netgalley keeps getting me in trouble and leads to that #7 of more time with books than people!
ReplyDeleteHere’s My TTT
I definitely get #5! Sometimes I annoy myself with how often I'll try and re-write a sentence in my head so that it sounds better.
ReplyDeleteRequesting too many books on Netgalley is a major problem of mine too. Thanks for stopping by my blog
