Just One Night was filled with wit and passion. The third book in the Love and Stiletto series, it centers around Sam Compton and Riley McKenna. Though part of a series, it is not necessary to read the previous books though some of the previous characters are mentioned, it will still be understandable.

Riley McKenna is the resident sexpert in Stiletto but she has a secret. Her secret? Well she only had one sexual encounter in her life, not what you would expect with someone who writes sex advice for a living. So when Stiletto's 50th anniversary special requires their articles to be a little more personal, she's in a lot of trouble. Now she'll ask a favor of a lifetime from Sam Compton, the man who has always owned her heart.

Sam Compton has had feelings for Riley since back when they were teenagers. But since she's his best friend's little sister, she's way off limits. So why did he ever agree with her favor?

This was the first book from author Lauren Layne which I was able to read and I will surely be coming back for more. Just One Night was at first glance a light read but as the book progresses, it turned out to be more emotional than light. Riley loved Sam since time immemorial and that was the reason she never had a serious relationship.

I admit, I love Sam but the way he treated Riley on the first half of this book was just cruel. I know he has some issues, but he doesn't need to let it all out on her. The characters from the previous books in the series were also shown here and it was really great since the readers who read the previous books can see what is going on with the previous characters.

Just one Night was hilarious and full of passion. Perfect for readers out
there who are looking for a great contemporary romance read.
